About
While pediatric strangulation is severely underreported, research indicates that in 50% of domestic strangulation cases, children are present. When a mother is strangled, there is a high probability the child is also a victim. Despite this intersection, pediatric cases remain overlooked in research and clinical practice. This course provides essential insights for professionals to identify, assess, and advocate for these vulnerable victims. We must ensure children are no longer the "forgotten" victims of this lethal violence. This 1-day course will be held on Friday, April 17th, from 8:00AM - 4:00PM (PST), and will shine a light on what every professional who might encounter victims of adult strangulation needs to know about pediatric strangulation. Little necks, BIG CONSEQUENCES.
