What Survivors Want You To Know: Different Forms of Abuse
A few years ago, we asked survivors "What do you think domestic violence service providers need to know?" The result was a series of powerful webinars that let survivors lead the discussion on important topics that touch every bit of the Family Justice Center movement.
When we asked again, one of the leading VOICES in our National Network told us, "Sometimes providers don't understand different forms of abuse." Abuse isn't always physical, and our National Network of survivors believe you should learn more about coercive control and other forms of abuse rarely spoken about.
Join Kate Amber, the survivor and professional behind the End Coercive Control USA, Marie Kenny, the director of the Center for Safe Futures Project, and Amanda Kippert, editor-in-chief of DomesticShelters.org, on Wednesday, July 16th to better understand the ins and outs of coercive control, and how your organization can better serve those survivors experiencing it.
