Henderson police equip patrol cars with strangulation resource kits
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — In October, the Henderson Police Department introduced a new initiative to support victims of domestic violence by equipping every patrol car with "strangulation resource kits."
The department stated that strangulation in domestic violence cases often leaves no visible injuries, yet it can result in serious internal damage.
The kits are designed to assist in identifying these internal injuries that may not be immediately apparent.
For those experiencing domestic violence, the department encourages reaching out to their Victim and Witness Advocate Program at 702-267-4727.
